About

Martin is a Chartered Land Surveyor based in Yaxley near Peterborough. He holds a BSc (Honours) degree in Geography, and then took a post-graduate diploma course in land surveying at UCL. He was elected to the RICS in 1994, and is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a member of the Residential Property Surveyors Association, and a member of Mensa.

He was initially employed by John Laing Design Associates as a land surveyor for 17 years, and gained considerable experience in all fields of construction. After a short time working in the Geographical Information sector, he established his own land surveying practice in 1993 undertaking topographic surveys, measured building surveys, commercial property area measurements, and boundary dispute resolution.

As a boundary dispute resolution specialist and expert witness Martin was undertaking consultations at site, comprehensive site surveys, court-compliant reports (as per the Civil Procedure Rules) and testifying in court. He has now semi-retired and is no longer accepting new surveys with associated reports, because of the time these can take to resolve through the courts.
